Title III-B Support Services include Health, Socialization, and other Support Services. Below is our Calendar and Activities Flyer to let you know what is going on at the Senior Center. Click on the image and it will expand for easier viewing. Below that is more information about the services we offer. For the most part, our activities are free for participants, but donations are always appreciated. We gear activities towards our senior patrons, but everyone is welcome to join us for most activities as long as it does not hinder the participation of a senior age 60+.
Make sure to sign in at the MySeniorCenter touchscreen for any and all activities and services that you participate in or utilize while you are at the Senior Center. Participation numbers support our funding.

Health Services
- Exercise Equipment: Exercise equipment is available for use at the Senior Center. You must sign a Release Form for us to have on file for each individual before any use of the exercise equipment.
- Afternoon Exercise Group: Stretching exercises, wellness of the breath techniques, seated Tai Chi, and lots of talking. This group generally meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:30-1:30pm.
- Foot Clinic: Carly comes to the Senior Center for Foot Clinic two days a month, usually a Tuesday and Wednesday. Call the Senior Center to make an appointment for the next Foot Clinic. The cost is $20.
- Vitalant Blood Drives are scheduled at the Shoshoni Senior Center, usually every quarter. Appointments to donate blood can be made online through the Vitalant website or by calling the Senior Center or Vitalant (877-258-4825). For eligibility questions, please call Vitalant.
- We are more than happy to collaborate with others to schedule health education events, health fairs, clinics, screenings, and support group meetings. If you would be willing to help us provide these health services to our patrons, please let us know!
Socialization Services
- Morning Social: Join us in the morning for coffee, puzzles, and socializing.
- Games: Check our calendar for group games. We also have a pool table at the Senior Center.
- Crafts: We schedule fun crafts every month. We also have a group who meets at the Senior Center on Mondays to work on their sewing and quilting projects.
- Clubs and Group Activities: Depending on current interests and the season, we have a Walking Club, Garden Club, Book Club, and other groups who meet at the Senior Center. Sometimes there are other activities, socials, or special celebrations. Check our calendar and follow us on Facebook.
- We are open to suggestions and want to know what YOU are interested in or would like us to offer for activities. Also, please let us know if you would like to volunteer to teach a skill, perform, or otherwise share your talents!
Support Services
- Public Information: We publish a monthly Newsletter, which is available here on the website, on our Facebook page, by email, or by mail. Please join our Dollar a Month Club for a suggested donation of $12 a year, especially if you would regularly receive a paper copy of our newsletter. It is not free to print. Our newsletter and website are both created in-house!
- Volunteering: We have volunteer opportunities such as delivering meals to the homebound, working reception, teaching or helping with activities or events, contributing a dish for and/or helping at memorial services, fundraising, or cleaning and other help at the Senior Center. Board members are expected to contribute to the Senior Center, which includes volunteering and actively participating in fundraising efforts.
- Office Services: We have free WiFi, two public-use computers. Printing, copying, and faxing is also available for a small fee per page, available Monday through Friday only. The Senior Center is a UPS drop-off location for pre-paid packages
- Lending Library: Medical equipment, books, movies, and puzzles are available at the Senior Center to lend out. Please return what you borrow and donate what you can. Medical equipment checkout requires signing an agreement form. For certain items a small deposit is required to help ensure the return of our equipment.
- We usually receive a Food Bank of Wyoming delivery on the third Wednesday of the month. We also have a Free Shelf at the Senior Center, which you can check for food and items you might need. Please only take items for your own household so that others can do the same, and it can benefit the whole community.
- Online Classes: We can help you to participate in free online classes such as those available especially for seniors from GetSetUp, Televeda, or online support groups such as the Wind River Parkinson’s Education & Support Group that meets monthly at the Lander Senior Center.
- We try to connect people with other services and resources as we can, but we suggest utilizing Wyoming 211. To connect with a Community Resource Specialist, dial 211 or 1-888-425-7138, search their website, or text your zip code to 898211.
- We would love to collaborate with others to schedule presentations, trainings, workshops, or other educational events.
